An Overview of the R&D of Flywheel Energy Storage
About twenty organizations devote themselves to the R&D of FES technology, which is developing from theoretical and laboratory research to the stage of engineering demonstration
Home » Clean Technology » China Connects World's Largest Flywheel Energy Storage Project to the Grid China has connected its first large-scale, grid-connected flywheel energy storage system to the power grid in Changzhi, Shanxi Province.
With a total investment of 220 million yuan, the project will build an office building and a smart factory. After all of them are completed and put into operation, it is expected to produce 2,000 sets of flywheel energy storage devices annually and achieve an annual sales income of 830 million yuan.
HUACHI KINETIC ENERGY is a magnetic levitation flywheel energy storage battery developer and one of the Top 10 flywheel energy storage companies in China.
Its role in grid frequency regulation and support for renewable energy will help stabilize power systems as China continues to increase its reliance on wind and solar energy. The facility can store enough energy to power around 2,000 households for a year, demonstrating its potential for larger applications.
