Frontiers | Future Development of Renewable Energy in Russia:
In order to answer this question, the authors need to assess the economic feasibility of seven scenarios for the construction of a solar power plant in the Orenburg region
Moreover, energy storage technologies can face both general and specific risks. The authors of the article took into account possible risks and carried out a qualitative scenario analysis of the development of energy storage systems in Russia in the future until 2035.
Within the framework described (Landi et al., 2019), the efficiency of a RES project for autonomous users is based on the development of a “user's energy consumption profile” and, in addition to the traditional economic and investment assessment, provides for modeling energy production based on self-consumption and self-sufficiency indicators.
Based on the results of the analysis of the distribution of peak load hours and maximum power generation in the Orenburg region, it was decided that to increase the efficiency of the SPP, it is possible to use lithium-ion storage network energy storage units with a capacity of 10 MWh.
